The Seaward Supernova PA Tester does not normally use codes; it used a test menu of pre-programmed tests conforming to the IEE Code of Practice. From main menu you select “New Test”, fill in the asset number and select the site, location etc. on selecting “OK” the test menu will be displayed. The top two “Use Testcodes” and “Default Sequence” are NOT now used. If the tester is a Supernova Plus machine the tests a & b will read “230 V HH/Port 1” and “230 V HH/Port 2” which is an abbreviation of 230 Volt Hand Held and or Portable Class One and 230 Volt Hand held and or Portable Class Two.
C & d are the IT tests Class I and II. E & f “230 V Mov/Stat 1” and “230 V Mov/Stat 2” are abbreviations of 230 Volt Movable and or Stationary Class I and 230 Volt Movable and or Stationary Class II. The following three tests are the IEC and Extension Lead tests. Once you have selected the appropriate test the Tester will indicate on the screen what to do and when; you just follow the instructions.
I hope this helps.
