Under law, the person who carries out PAT testing must be competent enough to perform the procedure. By attending our Gloucester training course, you can gain the skills, knowledge and practical ability to carry out PAT testing safely and in line with regulations defined in the IET Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Equipment.

On the course, candidates can expect to learn both the theory behind and use PAT testers in practical applications. This knowledge will then be used to complete an exam at the end of the course.

Examination & Certification

After the course is successfully completed, candidates will receive a Certificate of Competency that allows you to carry out PAT testing. To earn the certificate, candidates must pass a 20 question, open book examination under supervision of our PAT testing trainers.

Running over 1 day from 9AM to 4PM in our Gloucester training venue, this course is ideally suited for anyone wanting to learn more about PAT testing. No former electrical training is required.

Reading Material

PASS recommends that candidates read the IET Code of Practice before attending to understand the fundamentals of PAT testing. This is not necessary to complete the course.
